Spec sheets read like a secret code. "RTX 5090." "32GB GDDR7." "4TB Gen5 NVMe." If you have scrolled past those lines on a giveaway page and nodded along, this page is for you. Here is what each label in LvlUp's Retro PC is naming, in plain words.
The Retro giveaway includes a custom retro gaming PC. Its giveaway page lists the parts below. We will decode them one at a time and stick to what the page says. Where a general definition helps, it has no numbers in it.
Part oneWhat "GeForce RTX 5090" means
A graphics card, also called a GPU, is the part that draws the picture on your screen. GeForce RTX is the name of the product line. 5090 is the model number inside it. The giveaway page calls this card an "ultra-flagship GPU" with 32GB of GDDR7 memory.
That memory belongs to the card. It is separate from the PC's main memory and holds the data the card is working on. GDDR7 is the type of memory chip. The page says the card is meant to run modern games at 4K, which is a high screen resolution, with maxed settings and high frame rates. Frame rate is how many pictures the screen shows each second.
Part twoWhat "Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16-Core" means
The processor, or CPU, handles instructions for everything else. AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D is the full model name. The page adds "16-Core." A core is one processing unit inside the chip, so a 16-core processor has sixteen of them working side by side. The page describes the chip as built for high-refresh competitive gaming and heavy content creation.

Part threeWhat "64GB DDR5 RGB RAM" means
RAM is the memory a PC uses for whatever is open right now. Games, browser tabs and streaming software all draw from it. DDR5 names the memory generation. RGB means the sticks have color-changing lights. The page lists 64GB, installed as two 32GB sticks, and describes it as memory for multitasking, streaming and heavy workloads.

Part fourWhat "4TB Gen5 NVMe SSD" means
This one has four labels in a row, so take them from the back. An SSD is a solid-state drive, storage with no spinning parts. NVMe is the way the drive talks to the rest of the PC. PCIe is the connection it plugs into, and Gen5 means the fifth generation of that connection. 4TB is the capacity.
The page lists "up to 14,900 MB/s," which is a speed in megabytes per second. "Up to" means a ceiling, not a typical result. The page also says load times disappear and massive games install in seconds. That is the page's claim. This page does not repeat it as a promise about your own games.

The rest of the boxBoard, case, cooling and power
The page also lists an AM5 motherboard, the board everything plugs into. The case is white with a glass side. A liquid cooler and RGB fans handle cooling, and a 1200W power supply supplies the power. The list also names two small LCD display parts.

Specs versus resultsWhat a spec sheet cannot tell you
A parts list says what is inside. It does not say how a particular game will run. Games differ, settings differ and so do screens.
The prize is also more than the PC. Four more items sit beside it in the Official Rules: the monitor, the joystick-and-keyboard set, the PRIMEPLUS mouse and the console bundle. Instead of the package, the winner may pick $10,000 in cash.
The fine print, in plain EnglishHow entering works
Members are entered automatically. An active LvlUp membership includes automatic entry into every LvlUp giveaway, alongside the other member benefits.
Anyone can enter for free. Mail a hand-printed 3" x 5" card as described in the Official Rules. Each mail-in entry counts as 10 entries. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by November 19, 2026 and received by November 23, 2026.
Paying never improves your odds. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning, and odds depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Common questions
Is Gen5 the same as NVMe?
No. NVMe describes how an SSD communicates with the PC. Gen5 describes the generation of the PCIe connection it uses. They are two labels for two different things.
Does "up to 14,900 MB/s" mean the drive always runs that fast?
No. "Up to" marks the top of the range. The page does not state what a typical speed would be.
Is the card's 32GB the same as the PC's 64GB?
No. The 32GB of GDDR7 is memory on the graphics card. The 64GB of DDR5 is the PC's main memory. They are listed as separate parts.
Are the parts in the photos the exact parts listed?
Not necessarily. Some product photos show a different part maker or look than the written list. The Sponsor can also substitute items of equal or greater value, per the Official Rules.
Do I need to know all this to enter?
No. You never have to buy anything, and a free mail-in entry counts as 10 entries.
