Plan Your Holiday Game Night Around This Retro Console Bundle

A Wii, an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo 64 are in the giveaway photos. Here is a four-step game night to imagine around them. Entries close November 19.

Two people sitting on a couch playing handheld game systems, with a retro keyboard and mouse on the table in front of them and a white PC tower at the edge of the frame — Two players on a couch in the giveaway photos. The people, couch and table are part of the photo shoot, not part of the prize.

Picture the first cold weekend of the holidays. The coats are piled by the door, something is baking, and nobody can agree on what to do next. Then someone says the words: game night.

This page is a plan for that night, built around the retro console and games bundle in LvlUp's Retro giveaway. It is all imagined, of course. Nobody has won yet. But if the winner picked the hardware, here is how an evening with it could go.

Step onePick the room and the screen

A game night starts with a screen everyone can see. In your imagined plan, that is the big living room TV, with the consoles lined up on the floor in front of it. The giveaway page photographs a Wii, an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo 64, so those are the three we will plan around. Exact contents may differ; see the Official Rules.

Set the snacks on the low table, not near the controllers. Everything else follows from there.

Step twoStart with the one that gets everyone off the couch

The Wii is the obvious opener. Its remote and nunchuk are in the photo. Start the night with something that gets everyone up and laughing, then let the quieter games come later.

A house rule that helps: winner of each round hands the controller to someone who has not played yet.

Step threeMove to the Xbox 360 when the energy settles

An hour in, the room gets quieter. This is when the Xbox 360 comes out. It is a black console shown in the photos with a white controller and two game cases. Pass the controller around in short turns and let each person choose the game.

Step fourSave the oldest one for last

Late in the evening, bring out the Nintendo 64, a dark gray console shown with a light gray controller and two cartridges. By this point the room has found its favorite. Keep the last turns for whatever that is.

Not a console personA seat for the PC player

Maybe someone at home would rather sit at a desk. The Official Rules list four more items next to the console bundle: a PRIMEPLUS wireless mouse, a joystick-and-keyboard set, a gaming monitor and a custom retro gaming PC.

The photo below shows the monitor. The scene around it is photo styling.

A grown-up noteWho can enter, and who picks

Game night may be for everyone, but the Official Rules are for adults. Each entrant must be a legal resident of the US or Canada and at least 18, or the age of majority where they live. People who share a household with certain excluded parties are not eligible, so read the eligibility section in the Official Rules.

There is one Grand Prize and one winner. The winner chooses between the prize package and a $10,000 cash award.

Dates for your calendarEntry and drawing dates

Entries close November 19, 2026, and the drawing is on or about November 24, 2026. The rules do not give a date for when the prize would reach anyone, so do not plan the party around a delivery.

The fine print, in plain EnglishHow entering works

Members are entered automatically. An active LvlUp membership includes automatic entry into every LvlUp giveaway, alongside the other member benefits.

Anyone can enter for free. Mail a hand-printed 3" x 5" card as described in the Official Rules. Each mail-in entry counts as 10 entries. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by November 19, 2026 and received by November 23, 2026.

Paying never improves your odds. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning, and odds depend on the number of eligible entries received.
